Collaborative Approach Tailored to Your Journey

I work collaboratively with individuals to support their personal exploration and growth through the therapeutic process.

This may include talk therapy, role play, creativity, or somatic exploration, depending on what is right for each individual in the moment.

I often seek to infuse humor and specialize in experiential/action-based therapies to integrate both mind and body in the healing process.

Who I Work With

I provide online therapy for individuals ages 25 to 70 who are ready to improve their lives through emotional processing and behavioral change.

Navigating Transitions, Overwhelm, and Relationships

Are you moving through a life transition or experiencing a shifting of roles in your family or community?

Are you feeling overwhelmed or stuck, struggling with anxiety, burnout, or depression?

Or perhaps you are noticing some interpersonal difficulties - trouble expressing your needs or feeling like your mood is influenced heavily by those around you.

Whether you identify with any of these or are simply seeking intentional self-reflection and growth, I’m here to support you in slowing down and processing whatever comes up in the therapeutic space as you work toward your mental health goals.

My Approach

A Space for Brave Growth

Change - any kind of change - can be uncomfortable.

My role is to support clients in the process of finding what works for their lives during our time together. I have found that the answers to most questions (or the ability to sit with uncertainty) live within.

I am also aware that none of us are blank slates. We are humans and we live within the context of the world around us. That world is unfortunately not always able to guarantee safety.

When a client arrives for a session with me, they will be coming into a non-judgmental space that is set up for bravery. Bravery to make mistakes, to experiment, to sit in discomfort, to play, and to be creative and messy (and an unapologetic mess) as needed in service of their therapeutic goals.

Drama Therapy and the Expressive Arts

My approach utilizes the expressive arts with a focus on my specialty of Drama Therapy.

This might look like visual arts, movement, storytelling, role playing, poetry, or simple play.

Much of the work is rooted in approaches tied to Narrative, Solution-Focused, CBT, DBT, or Acceptance and Commitment Therapies. Internal Family Systems and Role Theory are also often incorporated.

Brainspotting

Discovered by Dr. David Grand in 2003, Brainspotting operates on the premise that ‘where you look affects how you feel.’

In working with clients using a combination of EMDR and Somatic Experiencing - a method introduced by pre-eminent biophysicist Peter Levine - Dr. Grand came to recognize that certain past impactful experiences could be tied to specific eye positions.

In working through these eye positions - which activate neural pathways associated - he and his clients found that they could process and release physical and emotional trauma. In this way, one can work to reprocess past experiences and shift emotional responses with a brain-body approach that incorporates relational attunement and bilateral stimulation.
